Correct Design Right from the Start
At Cell Projects ™ we believe that you must be in control of all aspects of the manufacturing process and this includes the design and production of the mould through to the actual production and Quality Control.

Mould Production
The design and production of the moulds are constructed in house; this enables us to have full control over the materials we use, the mould tolerances, and type of finish suitable to each product. The mould makers assume responsibility for the moulds even during the plastic production phases and continually monitor the performance of the moulds and take rapid corrective action far sooner than if we were more commonly out sourcing the mould production. This produces better products more rapidly and with greatly improved batch to batch consistencies over many other manufacturers.

The Plastic Production Process
The plastic materials we use have been used during the mould set up process so are completely optimised for the production phases. The plastic has been chosen to provide the most optimum conditions for improved PCR this include

• Virgin Polypropylene
• Surface characteristics to optimise reduced sample lose
• Flexibility for variety of sealing methods
• Clarity
• Inertness and non porous
• Continued performance after PCR at storage temperatures
• Batch to batch consistency to maintain the same performance

In addition to this the products are produced in a clean room environment to reduce:

• Particle and cell contamination
• DNA, RNA, Endotoxin and other protein contamination
• Colouration, oxidation and brittleness that occurs from Gamma treatment

The Quality Control
Continues sampling for both Biological and Visual inspections are carried out hourly throughout the production process. Each sample taken for QC then needs to pass a rigorous inspection process prior to the release of the goods from our factory. The biological testing includes DNase, Rnase and Human DNA contamination, while visual inspections are carried out for leakage uniformity of wall thickness and other potential design weaknesses that could reduce optimal PCR.

The Products
Cell Project produces a full range both 96 well PCR plates and cap strips for sealing the PCR plates.

96 Well PCR Plates

• Non skirted in colour formats
• Thin walled for optimal heat transfer producing maximal PCR results
• Designed for 0.2ml Thermal Cyclers
• Flat and rigid upper plate
• Sealing by film or caps
• Fully certified for PCR use
• With and without black print over the embossed text
• Clear plastic for greater ease and clarity of use

Cap Strips

• Easy push fit with reliable sealing
• Uses same plastic as for the plates so optimised for maximum match
• High clarity so has QPCR as well as PCR applicability
• Colour choice available
• Has sample labelling areas on the end and on each cap
• Identity labelled ends
